We are proud to announce that WSFR has received its first re-accreditation status from the Center for Public Safety Excellence!
WSFR is just one of just over 300 agencies in the world to attain this honor. The accreditation process is a rigorous third-party assessment that looks at all aspects of the organization’s inner-workings to assure industry-best practices are being followed. CPSE defines this as, “An all-hazard, quality improvement model based on risk analysis and self-assessment that promotes the establishment of community-adopted performance targets for fire and emergency service agencies.”
A peer assessment team visited WSFR late last year to audit the agency and a contingency of our leadership staff then went in front of a review board today where we were met with unanimous approval. A huge shout out to all the staff and board members who have supported this process and worked tirelessly to get re-accredited.
